Founded in 2003, Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru and the cooking of the country's leading chefs. We bring the warmth of the Peruvian spirit into every aspect of the dining experience. Our dishes, music, and art, all carry stories. We take pride in presenting food born of love.
Our Story
Andina is rooted in family. Inspired by his family's ties to Peru, Peter Platt opened Andina in 2003. The spirit of Andina springs from the family's history which began when Peter's parents, John and Doris, first met in Peru in the late 1960s.
our purpose
Andina is a piece of Peru. We honor and celebrate the hospitality, history, cuisines, and cultures of the Andes. We bring diners on a cultural journey you can taste. We connect through celebration, and we welcome all with the joyful hospitality of home.
our newsletter
Our newsletter gathers essays, stories, and notes on food and wine, written over the years by Doris Rodriguez de Platt and other contributors. We will be adding past newsletters to our growing collection and we hope you enjoy their tales, insights, and memories.
